The Mortgage Bank

During the years 1999-2005 the Danish Agency for Governmental Administration have administered the Mortgage Bank (The Mortgage Bank and Financial Administration Agency of Denmark). Since 1 January 1999 the Mortgage Bank's only task was a phased liquidation of the remaining portfolios.

In compliance with the Danish Finance Act for 2005 the Bank was closed down at year-end 2005 and the remaining assets and liabilities have been overtaken by the Kingdom of Denmark and as of 1 January 2006 the Danish State has entered into all of the Bank's remaining rights and obligations.

The administration of the former Bank's lendings is continued by the Danish Agency for Governmental Administration while the administration of the overtaken debts and swaps with effect of June 4, 2007 is continued by the Government's Foreign Debt Administration at Danmarks Nationalbank, Havnegade 5, DK-1093 Copenhagen K.
